Precious Hearts

Lucas with his Care Package including a Gametag for his DS

Last year I came across a charity that really does put a smile on sick kids faces.  Precious Hearts makes up and sends out bags with goodies donated by the general public and companies of which Gametag is honoured to be a part of.

Quoted from the facebook page "Precious Hearts is a registered Australian Charity with Deductable Gift Recipient Status – we are passionate about helping to raise awareness about Congenital Heart Disease. Our organisation delivers care packages to children recovering from heart surgery, with the aim of lifting their spirits during this difficult time, while providing the children with age appropriate activities that can be done in their hospital beds.
Our Zane Walker Memorial Fund is used to help families who are affected by Congenital Heart Disease"

Recently while at a market I ran into a mother of child who received a Gametag in his package, while speaking to her and both of us becoming emotional I realised that I played a tiny part in this child's life. Someone I had never met before had a smile because of me truly an amazing feeling.

If your child has received a birthday gift that is not suitable or they already have that item think about donating it to Precious Hearts and put a smile on another child's face.  They are always looking for donations to go into their Care Packages. The bags are made appropriate for the ages 0-16 years and can be colouring and activity books, pencils, crayons, pens, textas, craft items, glue, scissors, puzzles, toys, games, soft toys, baby wraps, rattles, and booties - the list is endless! If you can help please contact us at info@precioushearts.com.au
